Nowadays a good number of students aim to study abroad. But due to a lack of proper guidance, many students leave their path of studying abroad. With this in mind Bangladesh Open Source Network and EDUHUB jointly organized a series named ‘Higher Study Abroad’. The first episode took place on Friday 9th October 2020. Clinical Assistant professor of Arizona State University, USA Dr. Faheem Hussain and founder and CEO of Algorizin & finder of HigherStudyAbroad Mr. Siam Hossain were present in the show.

In the world of most advance technology, people use Git and GitHub in visualizing data or building a new game or for so many purposes. Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and ESDG4BD project organized a course for the women where they can accelerate their career by actionable education on GitHub. This course held on 15th September 2020 with a total 21 female participants.

A webinar was organised to discuss the current scopes and prospects of the ICT sector that are open for all female students. This event was jointly organized on 1st September 2020 by Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and it’s three year ESDG4BD project.
Over the past few years, python has emerged as the most standard language for solving problems. Python is considered as the most popular and in-demand programming language. Some survey revealed that Python has taken over languages such as Java, C, C++ and has made its way to the top. Asides from being computer programmer, a problem solver needs to be skilled in latest programming language. From that concept, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) organized a camp on python language for girls on 20 August to 22 August 2020.
Bengali language has been added to the certification program of open source hardware and software and the world's most popular development board manufacturer 'Arduino'. In other words, along with the languages of eight countries of the world, one can also take part in this technical certificate examination in Bangla and get the certificate.
In current technological oriented economy, it is mandatory to have proficiency in Microsoft Office. Employees with strong computer skills fare better the job markets better than their counterparts. Computer skills is now considered as the prerequisite of entering the job market. New job seekers need to focus on this skill for formulating professional development plan for future career growth. From this concept, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and ESDG4BD organized a 2 hour long ICT camp on MS Office Application Packages.
In the competitive world of employment there has no alternatives of being skilled on multi-tasking job. This make it more vital to present oneself in a smart way. For approaching any job, a complete resume is required of a job seeker so that recruiter get to know whether this candidate is eligible for that specific position or not. So an accurate and appropriate resume can help to get hired faster. Thinking this, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and ESDG4BD project jointly organize a workshop on effective resume writing workshop for girls to increase their participation in job market.
“Youth Engagement for Global Action” is the concept of International Youth Day 2020. The essence of this year's theme is to involve the youth in various local, national and international organizations so that they can become more efficient. With this in mind, Bangladesh Open Source Network organized various activities for three days from 12th-14th August, 2020. Enabling the engagement of youth in such formal political mechanisms does raise the fairness of political tasks by turning down democratic deficits, contributes to better and more sustainable policies, and also has symbolic importance that can further contribute to restoring trust in public institutions, especially among youth.
