Many of our entrepreneurs do not know what digital marketing is and how to use it. And only because of that sometimes they are behind in making profit. A session was organised titled “Growing Your Business with Digital Marketing” to make such people familiar with these platforms and technology. The session was conducted by Mehboob Javed, Lead Specialist, Digital Marketing, Prothom Alo.

‘Networking with entrepreneurs and experts’, a live session organised by Bangladesh Open Source Network- BdOSN on the occasion of Girls Innovation and Entrepreneurship Boot Camp- iii with the women in the tech industry. The main motive of the session is to learn and understand the importance of Networking in the modern world of business. 

Life never stops, it moves at its own pace and harmony. It always has ups and downs. When you are an entrepreneur you are creating a scope of jobs. So you have to be positive and always have to think positive. In any hardship if you think about others' problems, solutions will automatically click in your head. If you can think positively you will definitely get something positive or more. But at the beginning of hardship, if you start to think negatively, this will ruin everything like your hope, courage and strength and many more. And lastly it has a huge possibility of losing your dream enterprise. With such tips and suggestions a session was arranged titled “Think Positive, Act Positive”. The session was conducted by Shwapna Bhowmick, Country Manager, Marks and Spencer  Bangladesh.

We have so many women entrepreneurs, some of them have business, some of them have plans and are trying to open a business and some are thinking of preparing a plan for business. But the common thing is that all of us have an idea. The first thing is to know if our idea is appropriate or not! And to know that we have to use all our close relations. From them we will get an idea about the validity of our plan, we will learn whether we should proceed with it or not. This session was all about such things. The session was conducted by Munir Hasan, General Secretary of Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN).

In our country there are so many girls and women who dreamed of building their own business empire but it is a matter of sorrow that they do not get any kind of help in planning or funding.  To help those women, BdOSN organised Girls Innovation Boot Camp. BdOSN always tries to present some real role models in front of the participants so that they can get inspired from them and can learn some strategy from them. On 24th June 2021, in the opening ceremony of vGIEBC as a guest, Sonia Bashir Kabir, Founder, SBK Tech Ventures & SBK Foundation; Nasima Akter Nisha, President, Women and e-Commerce forum (WE); Sinthia Sharmin Islam, CCO & Co-Founder, Shajgoj ltd; Shawkat Hossain, Managing Director, BD Venture and some others guests ware present during this opening ceremony. The event was hosted by Jahanara Amir, Project manager of Bangladesh Open Source Network and President of ESDG4BD Project and Munir Hasan, General Secretary of Bangladesh Open Source Network and President of ESDG4BD Project.

বিডিওএসএনের সাথে জার্নির শুরুটা ২০২০ এর নভেম্বরের শুরুতে। প্রথমে চেয়েছিলাম তাদের কিছু প্রোগ্রাম আমাদের ক্যাম্পাসে নিয়ে আসবো। কিন্তু তখন ক্যাম্পাস বন্ধ থাকায় এই পরিকল্পনার বাস্তবায়ন করা হয়নি।

তবে এই পরিচিত হওয়ার সুবাদে অংশ নিয়েছিলাম GIBC-2 তে, তিনদিনের আবাসিক ক্যাম্পের চমৎকার এক্সপেরিয়েন্স এর কারণে খুবই আগ্রহী হয়েছিলাম বিডিওএসএনের ভলান্টিয়ার হিসাবে কাজ করতে।

নারীর উদ্যোক্তা হওয়ার পথ সহজ করতে যেসব সমস্যার মুখে পরতে হয়, সেসব সমাধানে নানা বিষয়ের প্রশিক্ষণ, নেটওয়ার্কিং বা সচেতনতার মধ্য দিয়ে শেষ হলো ‘লার্ন, চেঞ্জ, ফ্লারিশ’ শীর্ষক অনলাইন বুট ক্যাম্প।
