শাহেদা মুস্তাফিজ। বাংলাদেশের প্রথম নারী প্রোগ্রামার। এ দেশের টেকনোলজি জগতে অন্যতম একটি নাম।

তিনি পড়াশোনা করেছেন অর্থনীতিতে। পরে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের এনসিআর করপোরেশনে সফটওয়্যার আর্কিটেকচার নিয়ে এক বছরের প্রশিক্ষণ নেন। ১৯৭৬ সালে সেই প্রতিষ্ঠানের বাংলাদেশ শাখায় সিস্টেমস ম্যানেজার হিসেবে তার কর্মজীবন শুরু হয়। পরে বাংলাদেশে এনসিআরের কার্যক্রম লিডস করপোরেশন কিনে নিলে, লিডসে শুরু হয় তার কাজ।

Robot Olympiad Preparation Workshops and Activities will Take Place Across the Country: MoU was Signed Between British Council and BdOSN

Activations and workshops of Bangladesh Robot Olympiad, World Robot Olympiad Bangladesh and International Junior Science Olympiad will be held at public libraries across the country this year. And with this arrangement, public libraries will become the center of new knowledge science. An agreement was signed between Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN) and the British Council Library Unlimited Project at the World Literature Center in Dhaka on 2 March, 2020. Localizing Women Safety Principles in Internet with Take Back The Tech

Raising awareness on safety issues among the youth is now the only way to prevent online harassment to girls and women. To reduce the online risk and vulnerability on cyber harassment, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) run a campaign named Take Back The Tech. Under this initiative, BdOSN organize a day long activity at Cox's Bazar in the eve of International Women Day on 8th March, 2020.

Unstoppable Women Award 2020

Eight women have been recognised by The Business Standard for their outstanding role in business across Bangladesh at a programme organised to mark this year’s International Women’s Day today. They have lit the path of success for other women to follow, with extraordinary courage and perseverance. The tales of their journey are hoped to spread the message that women are able to overcome all barriers in any endeavour -- be it setting up of an agricultural firm, a hospital or running a shop of motor parts.  

BDOSN at Comilla to Encourage Women's Participation in Information Technology

In the current age of information technology, Bangladesh needs equal participation of men and women to move ahead. The prerequisite for ensuring this participation is the skilled women in information technology. Therefore, the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN) has organized some skill development programs for girls in Comilla to encourage women to acquire skills. A programming camp and a job preparation workshop were organized at CCN University of Science and Technology in Comilla. Female students of the university participated in the events.

Girls’ Innovation & Entrepreneurship Boot Camp Concluded in Dhaka-2020

“Not just if you have an idea, in fact success will come if we take the initiative to make it happen in reality. Idea is just a primary phase of entrepreneurship”- at the concluding address of the Innovation and Entrepreneur Boot Camp organized for girls, Dr. Lafifa Jamal, Professor of Robotics and Mechatronics Department of Dhaka University said this. The three-day “Girl's Innovation and Entrepreneur Bootcamp” organized by Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) at Lalmatia, Dhaka, ended on February 29, by learning the various principles of reaching the peak of success in Entrepreneurship. 

BDOSN at Mymensingh Engineering College with Some Skill Development Programs in ICT

It is almost impossible to survive in the workplace without the acquisition of information technology based skills. Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN) has been working to prepare female students for the job market from their education level. As part of this, the two-day CSE Carnival ended at Mymensingh Engineering College with the initiative of the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN) and the Alpha Science Lab of Mymensingh Engineering College and College.

Bridging Our Female Students in ICT Based Workplace: BdOSN at Green University

We are living in such an era where life is just nothing without the basic knowledge of technology. In fact, it is very hard to survive in the job market without IT based education. To compete with the new era we have to be prepared. For this it is very much important to train up our younger generation. By thinking all of these, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) organized a daylong Event on 24th February at Green University of Bangladesh.

BdOSN Conducted Some Skill Development Programs at the CSE Fest of Sylhet Engineering College

Without information & technology based skills, it is very much difficult to survive in job sector. To prepare the students for their better future a two-day long CSE Fest has been completed at Sylhet Engineering College. Under this fest Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) organised some skill development programs to explore new opportunities in ICT based workplace and to provide a bsic concept about required skills to survive in this modern world of technology. 

For Exploring a Better Employment Opportunity, A Job Exposure Visit is a Prerequisite

Having practical knowledge for a successful professional career, Job exposure Visit is a must in the present context.  In this respect, a Job Exposure Visit can serve the purposes aligned to it by the motto of “Seeing is believing”. Recently ESDG project of Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) has organized several Job Exposure Visits to several renowned IT companies of Bangladesh with the female students of different universities.
