Dr. Kashfia Ahmed is the CEO and Chairman at Win Incorporate and WinMiaki Ltd which she established in 2006 with an aim to support farmers sustainably through business.  She is a woman social entrepreneur supporting Bangladeshi agriculture through ICT.

Being in SME and women entrepreneur development sector for last 5 years, prior I had been working in marketing and communication industry for several years. working for two amazing financial organizations, IPDC Finance and currently in Brac Bank, I have been keenly understanding and working for the development of Women in SME sectors.

Shawkat Hossain is the current Managing Partner of Velocity Asia, an alternative investment company based out of Bangladesh. He is the former Managing Director at BD Venture Limited and serves as the General Secretary of VCPEAB. He has 35 years of experience in his credit out of that 7 years in Venture Capital, 10 years as bankers and 18 years in the financial management/ accounting profession. He worked for different sectors such as manufacturing, NGO, and banks and in different reputed organizations such as BRAC, BRAC Bank, Prime Bank, and ICDDRB, among others. He is experienced in working in a multicultural environment such as in Afghanistan for one and half years and was instrumental in setting up a foreign bank in Afghanistan.

He served as Head of SME and Senior Executive Vice President of Prime Bank Ltd., leading a team of 250 staff located at 55 branches and 17 SME branches. He was Head of SME of BRAC Bank Limited and led a team of 700 staff located at 250 marketing unit offices spread in 62 districts. He was Head of Finance and Finance Manager at BRAC for six years. Mr. Hossain completed his Masters in Development Management from Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Philippines in 1994, where he received an ADB scholarship.

Munir Hasan is the Head of Youth Programmee and Events at “Prothom Alo” the leading newspaper in Bangladesh. He received his B.Eng. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Conducted 100’s of training sessions, seminars, workshops on technology, entrepreneurship, social media marketing, and technology for the betterment of business etc. organized by International organizations like UNDP, World bank; National entities like Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of ICT as well as different NGOs/CSOs. He is a co-authored of ICT Text book for the grade VI-IX by NCTB.

Munir Represented Bangladesh in different International Forums like WSIS Forum, International Mathematical Olympiad, COMSTEC etc. His excellent organizational capabilities are recognized by an international team of researchers as one of the successful organizers of the world in a textbook published by Cambridge University Press (2011). He authored the country report in the Global information Society Watch Report 2009, 2010 and 2013. He has been an Ashoka Fellow since 2008.

Ms. Chowdhury has around 15 years of experience, mostly, as an entrepreneur and communication and public relation specialist. During her 15 years’ career journey, she gained expertise in strategic planning, managing media and sensitive press news, branding, crisis management in business, budget development, project leadership and so on.

Starting her career as a Communication Coordinator in Plan International in 2006, she accelerated her career in Forethought PR Limited as Senior Manager, Public Relations. After spending almost 3 and half years in Forethought PR Limited, she started her venture back in December 2012 as the founder and mind behind beautiful fashion brand Tahoor. Prior to joining this role she was continuing Founder & CEO, Tahoor Studio and Senior PR Consultant at BIZCARE.

Ms. Chowdhury has completed her Bachelor in Applied Linguistics & TOSEL and Economic (2005) and currently continuing Masters in Applied Linguistics (2009) from North South University. She has also completed Babson College’s Women Business Owners’ Program in July 2019 which was organized by BRAC Bank TARA and supported by FMO. She has published many articles and stories in different leading National daily and weekly. She has participated as a panelist and speaker in many national expo and trade shows, TV shows. She also actively participated in many social activities as well. She was also part of the branding of several leading branding campaigns like ‘Aktel ekhon Robi’, Keya Skin Clinic, Lux Channel I Superstar, etc. She was awarded Australian Award for Women Entrepreneurs of South Asia 2018.

Ms. Chowdhury is a member of Women and e-Commerce Forum and E-Club (Entrepreneurs Club of Bangladesh). She was the speaker on “Surviving the pandemic for small business on Connected Women Pakistan”.
