WRO Bangladesh Mentorship Program Kicks Off with Astute Training by Jonas Zagatta

The WRO Bangladesh Mentorship Program officially commenced on April 19, 2025, with a comprehensive training session conducted by Jonas Zagatta, Project Manager of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), held at the Creative IT Institute in Dhaka. The event marked the formal launch of a nationwide initiative aimed at equipping mentors with essential tools to guide and inspire the next generation of robotics talent in Bangladesh.

Preparatory Camp for IOAI 2025 Delegates at University of Dhaka

With just weeks to go before the prestigious International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) kicks off in Beijing, China, a two-day intensive training camp began yesterday at the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), University of Dhaka. Set to run from August 2 to 9, IOAI 2025 will bring together some of the brightest young AI talents from across the world and among them will be a select group of students proudly representing Bangladesh.

National AI Olympiad 2025 Successfully Held at BUBT

The national round of the Bangladesh Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (BDAIO) 2025 was successfully hosted at the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) on 17th May,2025, jointly organized by BUBT and the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN). 

Workshop on Preventing Child Marriage held in Rangpur

Child marriage has always been a societal problem in Bangladesh. It's not unlikely that girls in Bangladesh are forced to be married in their adolescence. Recently, Rangpur became the focal point of a potent discussion over "Child marriage," one of the most important social challenges facing the nation. In the highly charged workshop "Consequences and Actions Against Child Marriage," community leaders, educators, rights advocates, and government representatives convened to discuss the concerning increase in child marriages and devise a solution to combat this situation.

WRO Bangladesh Activation Workshop Held at Dhaka Polytechnic Institute

The WRO Bangladesh Activation Workshop was held at the DPI Auditorium of Dhaka Polytechnic Institute on 20th May 2025. The event aimed to raise awareness and enthusiasm for robotics among students and held priority to encourage the students to engage in robotics and get prepared for something big.

Future Innovators Gear Up for ‘Space Robot’ Challenge at BdRO Workshop

A special workshop focusing on the preparation for the Creative Category was held on May 9 and 10 at the BDOSN office in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. Jointly organized by Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN) and Bangladesh Robot Olympiad, the two-day workshop aimed to provide participants with comprehensive guidance on preparing for this year’s theme, "Space Robot." For better perception and preparation, students need to be guided with proper resources, and this was the purpose of this workshop. 

STEM camp held in Khulna for the students of the costal area

A two-day Advanced STEM Camp was organized at Khulna CSS Ava Center on April 12 to provide an idea of ​​the ins and outs of Arduino Robotics through practical problem solving and block-based coding following the scientific research method. Under the STEM and ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Areas project, a total of 60 students from six secondary schools in three coastal upazilas of Rampal, Tala and Satkhira participated in this two-day residential camp.

STEM Fest 2025 Wraps Up Successfully in Rampal, Bagerhat

A day-long STEM Fest-2025 was held in Rampal, Bagerhat to make students interested in science and technology.The festival, organized on Thursday (February 20) at the premises of Perikhali Model Secondary School in the upazila, included programming contests, science project exhibitions, robotics competitions and innovative idea poster presentations.

Empowering Students in Digital Safety: A Session of Cybersecurity

In a world increasingly reliant on digital technology, staying safe online is more critical than ever. Recognizing this, renowned tech expert Nasir Khan Saikat conducted an insightful and interactive session with students, focusing on the responsible use of the internet. Before diving into the core topics, Saikat first engaged with the students, ensuring they felt comfortable and involved in the discussion. This initial interaction set the stage for an open dialogue where students could express their thoughts and experiences related to internet usage. The session was conducted in 6 schools at Khulna, Satkhira and Bagerhat respectively.
