On October 11, 2023, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) celebrated International Girl Child Day with a grand event held in the coastal area, marking a significant milestone in their mission to empower young girls through STEM and ICT. The event, held under the project "STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA)," was funded by the Malala Fund and supervised by the Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF) in collaboration with BdOSN.

The event was held at the Shaheed Ali Ahmed Govt. Girls High School in Tala, Satkhira, was part of BdOSN's project titled "STEM & ICT Skills for Girls of Coastal Areas (SISGCA).

On October 10, 2023, Under the project “STEM & ICT Skills for Girls of Coastal Areas [SISGCA]”, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) built a portable STEM lab to support underprivileged female students in developing information technology-based skills. The lab equipment was handed over to the school authority of Naihati Secondary Girls School, Rupsha, Khulna District, through a ceremony in association with MALALA Fund. Headteacher and school committee members attended the event.
