On the 16th of January 2024, Science-4 and Robotics-2 sessions unfolded at Ratan Sen Collegiate Girls High School, Rupsha, Khulna, as part of the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project. This initiative, generously funded by the Malala Fund in collaboration with BdOSN, aimed to bridge the educational gender gap and empower females of coastal areas. Total of 37 female students from classes 6 to 8, participated actively in these sessions.

On the 20th of March 2024, Math-3 and Robotics-3 sessions unfolded at Ratan Sen Collegiate Girls High School, Rupsha, Khulna, as part of the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project. This initiative, generously funded by the Malala Fund in collaboration with BdOSN, aimed to bridge the educational gender gap and empower females of coastal areas. Total of 35 female students from classes 6 to 8, participated actively in these sessions.

'Obak Kutuhole' an Exposure Visit for Rural Girls Concludes with a Burst of Excitement

An exposure visit titled Obak Kutuhole concludes at Dhaka on 8th & 9th March 2024 with a bunch of young minds who want to embrace their future in the vibrant world of technology.  A total of 40 secondary school students from the coastal area of Bangladesh came to Dhaka to explore significant science and ICT related places and companies connected to Bangladesh’s ICT industry. Among them 35 were female students who are in the high risk of dropping out due to factor such as early marriage.

An awareness-raising session was held at Bara Katali ML Model High School on February 15th, 2024, to inform parents about the "STEM & ICT Skills for Girls of Coastal Areas" (SISGCA) project. The initiative, funded by The Malala Fund and implemented by the Bangladesh Freedom Foundation and Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN), aims to bridge the digital divide for girls in coastal regions by providing them with smart devices and promoting STEM education and ICT careers.

The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Festival was held on February 19, 2024, for girls students of Rampal Upazila, Bagerhat. This festival was organized under the two-year project titled "STEM & ICT Skills for Girls of Coastal Areas [SISGCA]". The project is being implemented by the Bangladesh Freedom Foundation in collaboration with the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and funded by The Malala Fund.

This initiative, generously funded by the Malala Fund in collaboration with BdOSN, aimed to bridge the educational gender gap and empower females of coastal areas. 31 females and 13 males, a total of 44 students from classes 6 to 8 participated actively in these sessions.

On 15 February, 2024, Empowering Minds: Mental Health Awareness Session Comrade Ratan Sen Girls Collegiate School, Khulna, hosted a transformative Mental Health Awareness Session under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project. Funded by the Malala Fund in association with BdOSN, this initiative aimed to equip female students with vital knowledge and resources concerning mental well-being. 50 female’s students from classes 6 to 8, participated actively in these sessions.
