Preparatory Camp for IOAI 2025 Delegates at University of Dhaka

With just weeks to go before the prestigious International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) kicks off in Beijing, China, a two-day intensive training camp began yesterday at the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), University of Dhaka. Set to run from August 2 to 9, IOAI 2025 will bring together some of the brightest young AI talents from across the world and among them will be a select group of students proudly representing Bangladesh.

This non-residential camp was designed specifically for the national champions of the Bangladesh Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (BdAIO) 2025, machine learning and programming contest, held on May 17. The selected delegates were still reeling from the joy of being named national winners and then stepped into a new phase of preparation: one filled with challenges, discoveries, and a shared dream of bringing honor to their country.

In partnership with the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) organized the camp, which aims to improve participants' technical proficiency and problem-solving capabilities in machine learning and artificial intelligence. The seminars were guided by mentors and AI experts and consisted of intense practical exercises, computational challenges, and interactive conversations. Participants were expected to gain not only technical expertise but also the confidence and strategic mindset necessary for international competition.

The Bangladesh AI Olympiad program adopts the notion of nurturing future tech leaders and building global competence in emerging technologies. This Olympiad motivates the youngsters of Bangladesh to dive into the vast world of technological advancement.
