A special workshop focusing on the preparation for the Creative Category was held on May 9 and 10 at the BDOSN office in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. Jointly organized by Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN) and Bangladesh Robot Olympiad, the two-day workshop aimed to provide participants with comprehensive guidance on preparing for this year’s theme, "Space Robot." For better perception and preparation, students need to be guided with proper resources, and this was the purpose of this workshop.
During the sessions, participants were introduced to various aspects like research strategies, sub-theme analysis, working with confusion matrices, production planning, presentation techniques, and designing robots based on the main theme. The workshop was designed to offer a hands-on learning experience to help students enhance their problem-solving and innovation skills.
Silver medalists from the International Robot Olympiad, Abrar Abir and A Z M Imtenan Kabir, shared their experiences and insights with the participants. Abrar highlighted the importance of early preparation, stating, "It is crucial to conduct home research on possible sub-themes that may appear at the venue and practice designing and building different robot models accordingly." This statement clearly supports the idea that pre-preparation or early preparation is an important part of success.
The workshop concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony and ensured a productive session for participants.
