শ্রদ্ধেয় জাতীয় প্রফেসর ও প্রকৌশলী প্রয়াত জামিলুর রেজা চোধুরীর নামে প্রস্তুতকৃত আইওটি মাইক্রোকন্ট্রোলার ডিভাইস “JRC Board” কে কেন্দ্র করে ২৯-৩০শে অক্টোবর ২০২১ইং তারিখে কম্পিউটার সার্ভিসেস লিমিটেড , বাংলাদেশ ওপেন সোর্স নেটওয়ার্ক এবং বাংলাদেশ ফ্লাইং ল্যাবস এর যৌথ আয়োজনে জাতীয় বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি জাদুঘরের মিলনায়তনে আয়োজিত হল দুই দিন ব্যাপী “সুবর্ণ জয়ন্তী হ্যাকাথন-২০২১”। আজ বিকেল ৪টায় বাংলাদেশ সরকারের বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি মন্ত্রণালয়ের মাননীয় মন্ত্রী ইয়াফেস ওসমান হ্যাকাথনের বিজয়ী ঘোষণার মাধ্যমে ৩৬ ঘন্টার হ্যাকাথনের সমাপ্তি টানেন।
বিভিন্ন ধাপ পেরিয়ে একটি স্টার্ট আপ আইডিয়াকে কিভাবে একজন নারী উদ্যোক্তা বাস্তবে রুপ দিতে পারে সেই সম্পর্কে নানারকম ধারণা ও পরামর্শ দিল সরকারের আইসিটি বিভাগের আইডিয়া প্রকল্প। মঙ্গলবার (২৬ অক্টোবর) সকাল সাড়ে ৯টায় রাজধানীর আগারগাঁওয়ের আইসিটি টাওয়ারে আইডিয়া প্রকল্প বিভাগে নারী উদ্যোক্তাদের একটি কর্মশালার মাধ্যমে এই ধারণা দেন। আইসিটি বিভাগের আইডিয়া প্রকল্প ও বাংলাদেশ ওপেন সোর্স নেটওয়ার্ক যৌথভাবে এই কর্মশালার আয়োজন করে।
অনলাইনের মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীদেরকে রোবটিক্সের প্রতি আগ্রহী করে তোলার মধ্য দিয়েই শেষ হলো চতুর্থ বাংলাদেশ রোবট অলিম্পিয়াড ২০২১। গত ২৩ অক্টোবর বিকালে এ অলিম্পিয়াডের বিজয়ীদের হাতে পুরস্কার তুলে দেয়া হয়। এর আগে গত ১৬ থেকে ২৭ সেপ্টেম্বর তারিখে অনলাইনেই এ অলিম্পিয়াড আয়োজিত হয়। অলিম্পিয়াডের বিজয়ীদের নিয়ে ২২ অক্টোবর থেকে দুইদিনব্যাপী আন্তর্জাতিক দল নির্বাচনী ক্যাম্প ও পুরস্কার বিতরণী অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়।
“শেখ রাসেল দিবস ২০২১” উদযাপন উপলক্ষে বাংলাদেশ কম্পিউটার সমিতি (বিসিএস),বাংলাদেশ ওপেন সোর্স নেটওয়ার্ক (বিডিওএসএন) এবং কম্পিউটার সার্ভিসেস লিমিটেড (সিএসএল) এর যৌথ আয়োজনে দিনব্যপী ”শেখ রাসেল দিবস স্ক্র্যাচ কর্মশালা“ -র' আয়োজন করে। স্মার্ট টেকনোলজিস (বিডি) লিমিটেড এবং গিগাবাইট টেকনোলজির সহযোগিতায় এ আয়োজন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

আইটিসহ বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে পড়ুয়া মেয়েদের ক্যারিয়ার বিষয়ক তথ্য প্রাপ্তির জন্য উন্মুক্ত করা হলো GWopportunities.org নামে একটি ওয়েবসাইট। বিদেশে পড়তে যাওয়া, বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন কনফারেন্স, বিভিন্ন ধরণের স্কলারশীপ, ইন্টার্নশীপ, ফেলোশীপের তথ্য এখানে পাওয়া যাবে। GWopportunities.org বাংলাদেশ ওপেন সোর্স নেটওয়ার্কের তিন বছর মেয়াদী প্রকল্প ইএসডিজি৪বিডি’র একটি কার্যক্রম।
In Bangladeshi context, a significant number of female students has been completing their graduation but unfortunately we do not see that much female employer in the working field. Lack of interest and knowledge about appropriate strategy of applying for any job opening is the most common reason for lagging them behind. Focusing on this issue, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) organize an online hands on job preparation workshop for the female undergrad students on 28th September 2021 to provide them a clear concept to be prepare for the future job market from their early study period.
On 18th September, 2021, Bangladesh Open Source Network - BdOSN & munirhasan Dot Com organized a session on ‘Awareness of National Blockchain Strategy of Bangladesh’ under FuTech as to make the interested participants aware of the technical strategy and future of blockchain technology and The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has finalized the National Blockchain Strategy in 2020 for the adoption and dissemination of blockchain technology in the country.
Due to the epidemic situation of COVID so many young people are losing their focus from careers. Some of them are getting confused about choosing the right career path. Besides, a large number of young people are trying to get into the industry for working but they can not find the right one. At the same time companies are searching for manpower but they also failed some time to hire the right person. To meet all of these situations Bangladesh Open Source Network is going to arrange a Career Boot Camp Soon.
