A workshop on Safeguarding was held on 16th June at Bangladesh Education Research & Entrepreneurship Development Trust (BdERED)'s office. The theme was 'Safeguarding for a better workplace' under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN.
A curriculum development workshop has been held on the 9th and 10th of June at the BdoSN office. In the two-day-long workshop, relevant subject matter experts provided their inputs, insights, and feedback on the draft training content developed by the academic team members of BdOSN and its other initiatives like- Mathematics Olympiad, Children Science Congress, Bangladesh Robot Olympiad, World Robot Olympiad, SCRATCH programming team.
Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and JaduPc Ltd have recently inked a game-changing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on groundbreaking initiatives in the realm of open source technologies and education.
The project orientation of SISGCA project was held on 3rd May, 2023 at BdOSN office.
SISGCA stands for the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area, a two-year-long project aiming to reduce the digital gap among the secondary school girls (grade 6 to 8) of three coastal areas of Bangladesh by providing easy access to smart devices and bring positive change among girls and community people regarding STEM education and ICT career for girls, by creating awareness.
বিশ্বের সম্মানজনক রোবোটিকস প্রতিযোগিতা ওয়ার্ল্ড রোবট অলিম্পিয়াড ২০২২-এ প্রথমবারের মতো সরাসরি অংশ নিয়েই ফিউচার ইঞ্জিনিয়ার্স বিভাগে ব্রোঞ্জপদক পেয়েছে বাংলাদেশের ‘টিম লেইজি-গো’ দল। জার্মানির ডর্টমুন্ডে অনুষ্ঠিত তিন দিনের এ আসরে ২৪ দেশের সঙ্গে প্রতিযোগিতা করে এ সাফল্য পায় দলটি। বাংলাদেশ থেকে অংশ নেওয়া ‘রোবনিয়াম বাংলাদেশ’ দল ফিউচার ইনোভেটরস বিভাগে অষ্টম স্থান অর্জন করেছে। গত বছর অনলাইনে অনুষ্ঠিত ওয়ার্ল্ড রোবট অলিম্পিয়াডে অংশ নিয়ে বাংলাদেশ দশম স্থান অর্জন করেছিল।
Affine Defi and Bangladesh Open Source Network is going to organize Affine Blockchain Hackathon 2022 on October 28 and 29 to inform graduates interested in becoming blockchain software engineers in the ICT industry. This Hackathon will be organized in collaboration with two leading Web3 companies of Bangladesh Wind and Anchorblock. To participate in this 34-hour long hackathon, interested participants must form a team of 2/3 people and register with a specific idea. The Selected team will get an invitation to participate in the hackathon at Mohakhali DOHS. The winner teams will be given a total of one and a half lakh taka as prize money.
To bring out innovative ideas from the young minds of undergraduates and diploma students, Bangladesh Open Source Network organized a project competition event titled ‘Devmania 2022’ for the month of September. This event has been organized for the second time this year. From the registered teams, we onboarded 12 teams. The final pitching round took place on 16 September 2022.
একটি টেলিকমিউনিকেশন কোম্পানী কিভাবে পরিচালিত হয় সে বিষয়ে স্নাতক শিক্ষার্থীদের ধারণা দিতে গত ১১ সেপ্টেম্বর বাংলাদেশ ওপেন সোর্স নেটওয়ার্ক (বিডিওএসএন) একটি জব এক্সপোজার ভিজিট আয়োজন করে। জব এক্সপোজার ভিজিটটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয় দেশের অন্যতম নেটওয়ার্ক সার্ভিস প্রোভাইডার গ্রামীনফোন লিমিটেড-এ। এ আয়োজনে দেশের দশটিরও বেশি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে মোট ৭০ জন শিক্ষার্থী অংশগ্রহন করে।
Hands on Job Preparation Workshop and Networking Activity at Shamsun Nahar Hall, University of Dhaka
Bangladesh Open Source Network has organized Hands on Job Preparation Workshop and Networking Activity at Shamsun Nahar Hall of University of Dhaka on September 8, 2022. This event was assembled under the ESDG4Bd project of BdOSN. A total number of 41 students participated in this event. A variety of students from different departments, mostly from second and third year, were present at the event.
On 19 & 20 August 2022, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) organized an ICT Camp 'Basic Robotics & IoT Workshop' & a Hands-on Job Preparation Workshop 'How to build a career in the Automation Industry' at the premises of the National Institute of Textile Engineering and Research. The events were organized under the ESDG4Bd Project.
