In this regard, Bangladesh Open Source Network and BDApps are going to collaboratively take some initiatives to increase women participation in the world of developer community. With a firm determination to involve women from all walks of life in the digital scene of Bangladesh, this women engagement initiatives come as a breakthrough for women empowerment.
কোভিড-১৯ মহামারিতে প্রতিটি খাতের ভয়াবহতা দৃশ্যমান। তারই একটি দিক হচ্ছে, কারিগরি ও ভোকেশনাল শিক্ষা। এই ধরণের শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো ধীরে ধীরে বন্ধ হয়ে যাওয়ার উপক্রম হয়েছে। জাতিসংঘের হিসেবে বলা হচ্ছে, কারিগরি শিক্ষার সঙ্গে জড়িত, বিশ্বব্যাপী ৭০ শতাংশ শিক্ষার্থী শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হওয়ার পথে রয়েছে।
To foster the talent of our youth, it is important to ensure a sustainable future of our youth with skills necessary. The ongoing situation of COVID-19 crisis threatens the continuity of global skill development. According to UNESCO, about 70 percent of the world's students are unable to attend educational institutions. To remedy this situation by responding to the unfolding economic crisis and to explore the opportunities for the youth of technical and vocational education and training (TVET), Bangladesh Open Source Network is proud to recognize World Youth Skills Day (WYSD) on 15 July 2020.
Most of the time delivering your best in the interview is not possible because of your fear, anxiety, and nervousness that limits you. If you want to get hired for your dream job, then you have to turn your anxiety to your excitement to overcome your fear. To build confidence among our girls to prepare for any job, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) organized a workshop on 27 June 2020 titled “Best Version of You VS Interview”
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed between Bangladesh Open Source Network – BdOSN and bdapps. It was held dated 25th June 2020 via online meeting places. In this journey, together they will collaboratively work on the women digital empowerment activities by organizing grooming sessions, meetups, workshops, and many more.

In the modern era of technology, economic empowerment is not a big deal for a lady only if she has the spirit and determination. In recent age, a career in content writing comes with endless opportunities as it requires only excellent writing skills. There is no need to have a specialized degree or course in the field of Content Writing. Anyone can build her career in this sector with limitless potentiality. To explore the opportunities and to encourage our women in this sector Bangladesh Open Source Network organized a workshop on Career Opportunities in Content Writing on 23 June 2020.
An eye-catching resume can get someone to a job interview as it primarily reflects you with your immense potential to an employer. So, it is important to develop an accurate and complete resume to get closer to a dream job. Considering this issue an online job preparation workshop was arranged by Bangladesh Open Source Network on 21 June 2020. This workshop was aimed at providing a clear concept about developing a perfect resume. This workshop was graced by professional resume writer and CEO of CorporateAsk Niaz Ahmed.
In today’s competitive job market, it is important to have an up-to-date resume to increase chances of getting an interview. This is why, a workshop on job preparation was conducted on 16 and 17 June 2020 at online google meet. This workshop is designed to help our girls with a complete schooling of preparing an eye-catching resume, a complete cover letter and exclusive interview guidelines. This two-day workshop was attended by a total 30 participants. This workshop was arranged by Bangladesh Open Source Network under its three-year ESDG4BD Project.
