The Girls’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Women is Launching February 27

The girls of Bangladesh are contributing to the creation of new business markets with their innovative ideas through the best use and application of information and communication technology. This is making the workplace of Bangladesh as masculinity compatible in achieving the Blue Print Agenda 2030 of sustainable development Goals of the world.

The three-day Residential Girls' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp is being organized for women who are interested in entrepreneurship or have already become entrepreneurs in using the information technology. This event will be held with 50 female students and young entrepreneurs on how to transform a concept into a startup using information technology. The camp will be held in Lalmatia, Dhaka from February 27-29.

The successful entrepreneurs will be present at various camp sessions. The top officials of the entrepreneurial support provider organization will join the camp. Through this camp, women entrepreneurs will get a guideline to make a venture a business success.

Last year, such a bootcamp was organized with the participation of a total of 31 girls from different parts of the country. Maliha Kadir, Managing Director of Shohoz.com, Luna Samsuddoha Former Chairman of Janata Bank Limited and founder of Dohatek Newmedia,  Swapna Bhowmik, Country Director of Mark & ​​Spencer, Venture Consultant Shawkat Hossain, Rezwana Khan, CEO of Star Computer Systems Limited, Samira Juberi Himika, Managing Director of Giga Tech, Jabed Aboul-Sultan, Head of Prpothom Alo Digital, Pathao's Head of Marketing Syeda Nabila Mahbub, Kazi Shayla Sharmin, Head of HR & Admin at Grameen Telecom Trust, Combat gym entrepreneur Shamima Tuli, story teller Hasan Benail Islam were present there.

The second round bootcamp is going to be held after a huge response from the last participants. Women who have graduated from university or who are working to transform one of their ventures into a startup can apply to attend this camp. After the application in the prescribed form, the finalists will be selected through online test and phone interview. No fee is required to attend the camp.

The camp will be jointly sponsored by Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and Enabling Sustainable Development Goals for Bangladesh (ESDG4BD) project in collaboration with the Manusher Jonno Foundation.
