GIEBC | Trade Licence and Legal Documents- 2021

On the occasion of Girls Innovation & Entrepreneurs Boot Camp- III, Bangladesh Open Source Network organized a session on ‘Trade Licence and Legal Documents’ with a motive to make the participants understand the professionalism required to start, run and maintain a business. The session was 1 hour long and it was organized on the 24th of June, 2021.

The session was hosted and conducted by the CEO of Shahin’s Helpline Md Aminul Islam and guests were the GIEBC- iii participants. It was a closed door session held on ZOOM.

Md. Aminul Islam started his presentation with a short introduction of himself and a short brief of his  presentation. Mr. Aminul briefly explained the business formation. He explained different types of business such as Proprietorship, Partnership & Pvt. Limited Business and discussed and explained everything thoroughly and pointed out both similarities and differences. Mr. Aminul also explained the basics needed to understand a business such as, trade licence, E-TIN, E-VAT, Partnership deeds etc. He showed the very basic details that will help the entrepreneurs distinguish between the Proprietorship, Partnership & Pvt. Limited Businesses and apply for the right business trade licence. Deed legalization/ validation was great part of the presentation and Mr. Aminul explained the difference between the with and without terms.

While explaining the terms and conditions, he also shared that only the Dhaka South City Corporation and Cumilla City Corporation are capable of giving the E-TIN Certificate. He also advised the participants interested in food businesses to register as a supplier first to understand the business first. 

Md. Aminul Islam ended his session by expalaining the importance of trade licence and advised everyone to make a trade licence for their business as without a trade licence, there will be no proof of the existence of their business/ company. He shared his email and also his youtube channel to the participants for future reference and information.
