Due to covid has made us active online and made us used to sharing large amounts of money. & banks already shifted their services on whatsapp. And many other formal tools are being shared which are based on whatsapp. Whatsapp can be called a professional tool.
On the occasion of MSME Day, Uddokta group (চাকরি খুঁজব না চাকরি দেব) and Munirhasan.com jointly organized a session named “Whatsapp for Business”
The main purpose of the session was to make the participants aware about the important features and business tools that whatsapp is providing and how it can help grow a business in a professional manner.
The guest of the session the Head of Digital Communication of SSL Wireless (Ngage 360), Ruhul Amin Rony and the program was hosted by the General Secretary of Bangladesh Open Source Network- BdOSN, Munir Hasan.
Mr. Ruhul Amin started his presentation on Whatsapp business by showing a graph of Whatsapp vs competitors based on user. Where he showed has around Facebook in 2.8 billion user where whatsapp has 2.0billion users which is astonishing for just a messenger. Whatsapp had 0.2 billion Active users in 2013 and now in 2021, its 2 billion! Mr. Ruhul also shared some interesting facts about whatsapp such ase, whatsapp shares around 100 billion messeges every day and there are around 40 million users in Bangladesh. Whatsapp business app and its importance was also explained by him. He said “WhatsApp Business is free to download and was built with the small business owner in mind. The app makes it easy to personally connect with your customers, highlight your products and services, and answer their questions throughout their shopping experience. It can create a catalog to showcase your products and services and use special tools to automate, sort and quickly respond to messages. he also explained the WhatsApp Business API which was for medium and large businesses, “the WhatsApp Business API powers your communication with customers all over the world, so you can connect with them on WhatsApp in a simple, secure, and reliable way.” he said. Mr. Ruhul Amin also advised on understanding customer psychology and said “Try to make them feel special to gain emotional benefits”. And functional benefits were also explained. Personality is a very important factor in a business. Then he compared whatsapp basic, whatsapp business apn and WATI whatsapp API. He also showed the way to install 2 whatsapp accounts from 1 phone number. He showed some successful integration in Bangladesh with videos.
The session was conducted on the 24th of June at 4 pm.
The final verdicts were presented by the General Secretary of Bangladesh Open Source Network- BdOSN, Munir Hasan. Mr. Munir Hasan shared his opinion on the future of whatsapp business places and also discussed the benefits and misconceptions about whatsapp.
