COVID-19 crisis creates the world wide career opportunities for the job hunters. It transform the workplace culture from offline to online which enables girls to explore national and international career opportunities without traveling which is the major concern to a Bangladeshi girl. Enabling Sustainable Development Goals of Bangladesh by 2030- BdOSN, a project of bringing girls in the ICT sector organized a career talk at Jahangirnagar University on 8th December 2021.
Bangladesh Open Source Network and EMK Center have recently organized a Career Talk on AI & IoT, and Professionalism in Volunteering. This talk took place on January 11, 2022. The aim of this session was to explain the basic idea of AI & IoT and their correlation. 25 students from around Dhaka attended this two-hour session which took place in EMK Center, Dhanmondi, Dhaka.

In the pandemic, a crisis of skilled people in the job sector has been experienced. It is high time to be skilled in order to achieve the dream job. To prepare the university students for the job sector and to make them skilled, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) has organized Hands on Job Preparation Workshop on LinkedIn for Career Development. This online workshop was conducted on Zoom, held on December 31, 2021.
Enabling Sustainable Development Goals of Bangladesh by 2030- BdOSN, a project for bringing girls in the ICT sector is going to organize a project competition aka online hackathon for the girls. The project competition aims to sharpen the existing skills of girls in computer science. 40 female students from different universities were took part at the entire process of the contest.
Bangladesh Open Source Network has been conducting Programming camps, workshops and other training events successfully. The resource persons, also known as Mentors play a significant role in the process. As BdOSN always focuses on preparing more resource persons, and making them skillful, it has organized a day-long Mentor Workshop on December 20, 2021. This workshop took place in Computer Services LTD Bangladesh, Mohakhali DOHS, Dhaka where a total number of 26 mentors from different backgrounds participated.
গত আট ডিসেম্বর সাভারের আশুলিয়ায় আয়োজিত হল বিডি গার্লস কোডিং প্রকল্পের প্রথম ক্যাম্প “হ্যালো ওয়ার্ল্ড প্রোগ্রামিং ক্যাম্প”। ইকো বাংলাদেশ ও ইকো ইউএসএর সহায়তায় মেয়েদের প্রোগ্রামিং শেখানোর জন্য এই ক্যাম্পটি আয়োজন করা হয়। ক্যাম্পে তৃতীয় থেকে দশম শ্রেণির ৭০ জন মেয়ে শিক্ষার্থী অংশগ্রহণ করে।
নারী প্রোগ্রামারদের উৎসাহিত করতে এবং কম্পিউটার প্রোগ্রামিং ধারণার প্রবর্তক অ্যাডা লাভলেসের জন্মবার্ষিকী উদযাপন উপলক্ষ্যে ১০ ডিসেম্বর অনুষ্ঠিত হয়ে গেল অ্যাডা লাভলেস ন্যাশনাল গার্লস প্রোগ্রামিং কন্টেস্ট-২০২১। বাংলাদেশ ওপেন সোর্স নেটওয়ার্ক (বিডিওএসএন) এর উদ্যোগে কনটেস্ট আয়োজিত হয় ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটির আশুলিয়া ক্যাম্পাসে।
