Unique Opportunities for Native Inventors: Tiger Challenge Begins on July 2

Innovative competition Tiger Challenge starts from July 2 with the aim of providing an investment of nearly $ 2 million. Tiger IT Foundation organizes this competition jointly with MIT on the basis of the competition  MIT Solve of the world famous Massachuset Institute of Technology (MIT). In the domestic and global competition, winning teams will receive approximately $ 2 million in financial, technical, and investment facilities. This information was announced at the inauguuration ceremony of the Tiger Challange on Tuesday 18th june, 2019 at Sonargao Hotel.

State Minister of ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak, MP; BUET Professor Dr. Mohammad Kaikobad, Tiger IT American scientist Eliya Nikiforov, chairman of Tiger IT Foundation Ziaur Rahman, general secretary of Bangladesh Open Source Network Munir Hasan spoke in the inauguration ceremony.  

It is informed that organizing the 'Tiger Challenge' Innovative Competition to make any sustainable and innovative ideas that will contribute to the welfare of Bangladesh. This event will be held in two episodes.

It is informed that organizing the 'Tiger Challenge' Innovative Competition is  to promote any sustainable and innovative ideas that will contribute to the welfare of Bangladesh. This event will be held in two episodes. A start-up idea from the finalists will be declared the best in Bangladesh. In order to implement the initiative, the investment will be provided to the winner of about two crore BDT. To participate in this phase, anyone can apply for the Challenge website from July 2 to August 30. Online applications received by MIT judges will be selected for the final episode of the total 10 inspections. In October, finalists will put their efforts in front of the International Zurich Board and will be elected. Students, learners, startup companies or entrepreneurs will be able to take part in this challenge. At the same time there will be a global phase. A joint part of the winner of Bangladesh episode will be unveiled in December with the winners of this episode. Final victory will be for 1.5 million dollars in the global event. However, the condition is that 50 percent of this investment will be used in Bangladesh.

In the function, the State Minister said that the government is working for the innovative power of local inventors to go to the developed world by 2041. And many more initiatives are being taken for this. He said that the start-up fund of Tk 100 crore has been kept in the current budget. 

Professor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Mohammad Kaikobad said that the real wealth of Bangladesh is its young meritorious youth. Our limited resources should be spent in their care in such a way that we can proceed. He hoped that this arrangement will help the youth to move forward.

American scientist of Tiger IT Ilya Nikiforov, in his presentation said, artificial intelligence, technology like Blockchain, BigDetter can play a good role in solving the existing problems of Bangladesh.
