With the help of web technology, we are being able to shape our lives with more comfort. To make the university undergraduate students familiar with both basic and advanced levels of these web technologies such as PHP, HTML, and Bootstrap, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) has organized an ICT Camp titled ‘Introduction with Web Technologies’. This day-long camp took place on 28th November in the premises of Dhaka International University. A total number of 47 enthusiastic students participated in this interactive learning event.
The camp was enlightened by Mosaraf Hossain Tipu, Program Officer of ESDG4bd, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN). He tried to make the participant motivated enough to prepare themselves for the future web development job market.
The main objective of the workshop was to train the participants on PHP, HTML, and Bootstrap. As a result, the participants were not only able to test the essential software needed to use web technologies, but also can successfully create, and customize a website. They were also introduced to installing third-party modules to play with the website. After the session, participants shared their remarks and mentioned that the misconceptions they had about web development are clear now and they are no longer afraid of coding in web development. The participants were really eager to learn these essential skills that are really necessary for any CSE student.
“Events like this can make female participants interested in web technologies' '-mentioned the resource person of the camp. This event was organized under the ESDG4Bd-2030 project of the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN).
