My first encounter with Artificial Intelligence (AI) dates back to 2021. It was during my preparations for that year’s Robot Olympiad that I first came to know about the fascinating world of AI development. Until then, AI always seemed like a fantasy concept to me, something out of the science fiction movies I loved watching as a child. It felt distant, almost magical.
As I got more involved in robotics, my curiosity about AI gradually started to grow. I began exploring bits and pieces of AI, even though I didn’t fully understand how AI algorithms actually worked at the time. It was like standing at the edge of a vast ocean, not knowing how to swim, but deeply intrigued by what lay beneath.
In late 2023, that curiosity turned into determination. I felt a strong urge to seriously dive into AI development. Though I first heard about the AI Olympiad in 2024, I wasn’t able to participate due to a lack of preparation. It was disappointing, but it also motivated me to do better.
So, in 2025, right from the beginning of the year, I set my mind to it, I began preparing with full focus for the AI Olympiad. I studied hard, practiced consistently, and kept pushing myself to understand not just how AI works, but also how it can be used to solve real-world problems.
And finally, all the hard work paid off. I was honored to become the 1st Runner-Up in the Bangladesh AI Olympiad 2025. It wasn’t just a medal or a title for me, it was a milestone in a journey that began with wonder, grew through effort, and was fueled by a dream to understand the future.
I’m truly thankful to BdOSN and BdAIO for providing such an inspiring platform. I also deeply appreciate my parents, family, and friends for their constant support, encouragement, and belief in me throughout this journey.
