Future Innovators Gear Up for ‘Space Robot’ Challenge at BdRO Workshop

A special workshop focusing on the preparation for the Creative Category was held on May 9 and 10 at the BDOSN office in Dhanmondi, Dhaka. Jointly organized by Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN) and Bangladesh Robot Olympiad, the two-day workshop aimed to provide participants with comprehensive guidance on preparing for this year’s theme, "Space Robot." For better perception and preparation, students need to be guided with proper resources, and this was the purpose of this workshop. 

STEM camp held in Khulna for the students of the costal area

A two-day Advanced STEM Camp was organized at Khulna CSS Ava Center on April 12 to provide an idea of ​​the ins and outs of Arduino Robotics through practical problem solving and block-based coding following the scientific research method. Under the STEM and ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Areas project, a total of 60 students from six secondary schools in three coastal upazilas of Rampal, Tala and Satkhira participated in this two-day residential camp.

STEM Fest 2025 Concludes with Success at Rupsha, Khulna – A Celebration of Innovation, Learning, and Inspiration

A comprehensive science-focused project exhibition (STEM Fest) was organized on January 29 at Naihati Secondary Girls' School Rupsha, Khulna. This event included a full day of activities such as a scratch programming contest, a robotics competition, poster presentations, and various quizzes. These initiatives aimed to enhance digital literacy, knowledge, and essential skills, particularly among female students, culminating in a display inspection.

Empowering Coastal Teachers Through Science and ICT Training Workshops

In a significant step to empower secondary school teachers in the coastal areas, three science and ICT-based training workshops were conducted in Rupsha of Khulna, Rampal of Bagerhat, and Tala of Satkhira. Organized under the project STEM and ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area, the workshops involved approximately 150 teachers specializing in science, mathematics, and ICT from 41 high schools.

Mathematic session conducted in Rampal, Bagerhat

A mathematics session in Perikhali Model High School and Barakatali Model High school in Rampal, Bagerhat, led by academic mentor Mahmud Shovon, aimed to alleviate students' fears about math and spark their interest in the subject. The mentor began by sharing motivational quotes and emphasizing the real-world applications of math, demonstrating its importance in everyday life.
