Innovation Bootcamp for Women Entrepreneurs concluded in Dhaka

Aside from being an entrepreneur in the Idea phase, we need entrepreneurial supportive women-friendly environment- The participants expressed their hope tomorrow at the closing day of the three-day Girls' Innovation Bootcamp at Lalmatia, Dhaka on November 30. The camp was organized under BDOSN's ongoing project 'Enabling Sustainable Development Goals for Bangladesh' to increase participation in women's information technology based workplace.

Girls Innovation Bootcamp with ideas like applications such as cloud storage or various app technologies, about 30 female students from different corners of the country who want to turn their innovative ideas into a commercial or social enterprise, joined Girls Innovation Bootcamp.

In the bootcamp, which began on November 28, the participants worked on a total of ten ideas. In light of the sessions of experienced people, they design a number of new initiatives. On the basis of the judge’s consideration, top three ideas were best selected which will be subjected to an intensive mentoring. 

Maliha Kadir, Managing Director of Shohoz.com, attended the closing ceremony on Saturday evening. She said that women need to come forward to enter this market through small enterprise. For this, those who provide entrepreneurial support should come forward and play a role in creating a business environment for women. Also present at the camp to encourage women were Former Chairman of Janata Bank Limited and founder of Dohatek Newmedia chairman Luna Samsuddoha. She shared her experience with the participants. She said, all your work has to be done in the skilled hands, as well as build your career in your self-will.
