Clinical Assistant professor of Arizona State University, USA Dr. Faheem Hussain and founder and CEO of Algorizin & finder of HigherStudyAbroad Mr. Siam Hossain were present in the show.

The session was hosted by the General Secretary of Bangladesh Open Source Network, Munir Hasan. Mr. Munir Hasan said there are some really good options available but the problem is no one is exploring ways.

Dr. Faheem Hussain said that very few students know the actual way of the process to study abroad. The application process of studying abroad is a really long process. One of the major problems is students that lose hope in midway. One has to be ambitious in terms of taking the decision to study abroad. A student should make a decision like this from a really early stage. He/she has to explore the ways and do research on his/her own. He also pointed out that the person willing to study abroad should first collect some information and advice from the people who are already studying abroad. He said, “there are many universities in the US alone but students only explore 5-6 universities either because they are in the google top list or a relative of his/her is studying there.”

Mr. Siam Hossain further explained the topics Dr. Faheed Hossain discussed and said that one of the biggest problems is the lack of role models. “We do not follow the proper role model” he added. A student has to search for the options that are available for him/her according to their merit or result. A student should take the aim to further continue his/her study from the very beginning. If someone aims to continue his graduate studies abroad then he should prepare and explore the possible ways while he is at his undergraduate level and so on.

Mr. Munir Hasan continued and said there are many universities abroad where students can continue their studies with lesser tuition fees than Bangladesh. He said, “most students outside Dhaka do not even search the European and North American universities. If one wants there are huge opportunities that are waiting to be grabbed by the students but again the problem is students do not explore”.
