Career Talk at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU)

Career Talk at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU)

Gender inequality in job sectors has become a buzzword nowadays. To remove these barriers BdOSN is committed to enabling women to unleash their opportunities. We believe that enriching women with accurate information and proper guidelines can work as a key role to lead them towards empowerment.

Keeping that in mind, BdOSN has organized a career talk campaign at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) on 20th June 2022. At that event, we got 38 enthusiastic individuals who were greatly motivated to build their future careers more constructively. The main objective of this event was to prepare our female undergraduates as resourceful assets. We were intended to inspire them to be efficient from their undergraduate period.
One of our resource persons was Tanvir M Shuvo who is a renowned Software Architect. Our other significant resource person was our very own Nahida Parvin who is handling the position of CEO of IT Solution, Dinajpur. Without them, the successful conduct of this event would have not been possible. The campaign covered the significance of achieving technical depth on any single tech stack which will increase their additivity towards newer or similar technology. The resource persons guided them on how to make their undergraduate project commercially meaningful. An overview of the agile software development process and the role of different response persons was also discussed. Finally, a brief discussion on interview-winning hacks. One of our participants testifies that this campaign has motivated her to focus on making the university project meaningful for a better career. This campaign was arranged under the project ‘Enabling Sustainable Development Goals for Bangladesh (ESDG4BD)’. We hope that our event will guide the participants to smothering their career paths.
