Amazon Web Services is working on cloud core computing which is the real future in Data Science. As Data Science is getting popular in the modern world of technology, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) organized an interactive discussion session with Mohammad Mahdee Uz Zaman, Solution Architect, Amazon Web Services, Founder, Cloud Camp Bangladesh on 2 March 2021. A total of 21 female undergrad students from different corners of Bangladesh, who are passionate about building careers in the data science field, took part in this session.
The entire workshop was aimed at exchanging experience in the data science field of our resource person and finding out a way of extracting our best potential data scientist in Bangladesh. Mohammad Mahdee Uz Zaman said, if we want to be the best in data science then we need to train ourselves significantly. That’s why I want to give you all the necessary support that everything you need to be a great data scientist on the planet. We are going to work in that direction so that you can get a professional job with significant data science skills. For 10 years now I want you to see the best possible data scientist or machine learning expert in the world. He said to the participants, if you want to be in the research sector of data science I will instruct you with the possible materials you need or you want to have your own business in the data science field I will demonstrate you with data anomaly detection, cybersecurity, recommendation engine, personalization and all of such stuff you need to figure out.
t was a two hours long session and a brief discussion was conducted on ‘Data Science’. The discussion covered all basics and advanced topics on data science. Mr. Mohammad Mahdee Uz Zaman briefly discussed learning about infrastructure basics and Latest Technologies such as Cloud, Containers and Serverless situations. He also covers the DevOps/ CloudOps/ MLOps – Git/GitHub/CI-CD/Code Pipeline topics in the session.
Mr. Mohammad Mahdee Uz Zaman thoroughly discussed the infrastructure of AWS and how it can help us to better use the data we already have. He also discussed machine learning and the future of machine learning.
For further communication in the future for any support or suggestions participants need, he includes the participants in a slack account for close observations of the interested one with an expert mentor in the data science field. He provides an open opportunity to have one-to-one monitoring and discussion about data science expertise.
He assured to support in every possible way either anyone who wants to be the best machine learning data science expert in the world, secondly want to professionally grow in a local or global job, thirdly want to have a Ph.D. or build a career in research site or want to open up your own business in data science.
Mr. Mohammad Mahdee Uz Zaman advised everyone to apply and try for internationally recognized certifications like AWS Certified (all 12), Google (all), Microsoft Azure (all). These certifications will not only help the students to grow their knowledge but also understand the concepts and applications of data science in the real world. And he assured the participants that mentors from AWS and other expert communities will help them throughout this journey to the world of Data Science.
