The Arduino is a cheap electronics board that allows you to make your own electronics without a ton of coding experience. The best part is its open source and easy to use. All the needed things to run a program is embedded in the small chip. An Arduino can be applied to solve many practical problems with the combination of different sensors.
Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN), Science Popularization Society, Bangladesh and MASLab organized A Basic Arduino Workshop in Rajshahi University on 25 August 2017. 40 students from different universities, colleges and schools participated the workshop. There were taught Arduino pin configuration, microcontroller, Basic Electronics, controlling LED lights, use of digital pin, Pulse width modulation (PWI), temperature sensor, sonar sensor, servo motor, push button and potentiometer. They were also introduced to the Internet of Things (IoT).
In the end, 10 real life Arduino project was shown and explained how it operates. A test was taken after the workshop to select 4 participants for Advanced Arduino Workshop.
Mishal Islam, Mentor of Basic Arduino Workshop said "Arduino is a very useful tool when it comes to solving real-time problem is a way. It's also useful is IoT. Therefore we are just trying to make people more interest in Arduino and IoT"
