২৫টি জেলার পাবলিক লাইব্রেরিতে শুরু হচ্ছে স্কুল শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রোগ্রামিং শেখানোর আয়োজন। রাসবেরি পাই নির্ভর সাশ্রীয় মূল্যের বিশেষ কম্পিউটার কানো ও মাইক্রোবিট ব্যবহার করে এই প্রোগ্রামিং শিক্ষা কার্যক্রম পরিচালিত হবে। বাংলাদেশ সংস্কৃতি মন্ত্রণালয়ের একটি প্রকল্পের আওতায় ব্রিটশ কাউন্সিলের এই কার্যক্রম পরিচালনায় একাডেমিক সহযোগতিা প্রদান করবে বাংলাদেশ ওপেন সোর্স নেটওয়ার্ক (বিডিওএসএন)। ২০ সেপ্টেম্বর বৃহস্পতিবার ঢাকার বিশ্বসাহিত্য কেন্দ্রে এই বিষয়ে ব্রিটিশ কাউন্সিল বাংলাদেশ এবং বিডিওএসএনের মধ্যে একটি সমঝোতা স্বারক স্বাক্ষর হয়েছে। ব্রিটিশ কাউন্সিল বাংলাদেশের ডেপুটি ডিরেক্টর এন্দ্রু নিউটন এবং বিডিওএসএনের সহসভাপতি ড. লাফিফা জামাল নিজ নিজ প্রতিষ্ঠানের পক্ষে সমঝোতা স্বারকে স্বাক্ষর করেন।

A programming workshop is organized daylong on Tuesday, September 4 at Munshiganj Public Library.

The coding workshop was the first of many to be organised by Libraries Unlimited, a BMGF funded project delivered by the British Council in partnership with the Bangladesh Ministry of Cultural Affairs that aims to modernize the libraries of Bangladesh and improve public access to information and knowledge – a key part of which involves the introduction of coding educational resources in public libraries.

Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) conducted 1 month long basic scratch programming for high school students. The purpose was teaching a hands-on activity on how to create basic scratch program. 12 students from different schools in Dhaka took this course. Starting from April, the course ended yesterday successfully. The general secretary of BdOSN Mr. Munir Hasan was present at the closing ceremony.

Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) arranged a session titled “NLP for better Communication” to develop communication skills of its mentors and volunteers on 20 February 2018 at Bishwo Shahitto Kendro. The fruitful session was conducted by Roseline Sarkar who is a NLP and Business coach and member of Toastmasters International. The volunteers and mentors participated in the session and onsite experiments to practice NLP. The speaker of the session emphasized on learning things smartly, design positive thinking, communicating in a systematic way, controlling thoughts and activities improve their skills. The participants joined in a question and answer session for more clarification. Muntasher Morshed and Sadia Rahman, two volunteers of the organization, participated in two several experience sharing session regarding NLP and shared their experience and respective information.

The closing ceremony of the CSE Week 2017 held on 7th February, 2018 at Bishwo Shahitto Kendro. After the last two-month long events, celebration, sessions, workshops and many, the session has been called to a successful ending at the auditorium of the venue.

Every year, along with other campaigns and programs, we celebrate Computer Science Week (CSE Week) in Bangladesh to promote programming among the children and young generation.  Though it is supposed to be celebrated in December 8-14, but we celebrate this program for 2 months every year.

Hour of Code held at Lake Circus Girls High School, Dhaka on January 24, 2018. 200 students from different classes attended the session. 

3 trainers from BdOSN conducted the session. The students and teachers were very much excited for the session. They nenjoyed the whole session.

YWCA higher Secondary School arranged a Hour of Code in association with BdOSN & ISOC on 23rd January, 2018. 100 students from different classes attended the session The girls enjoyed the session very much

Ruma, a student of class 8 said. ' This is the first time I am getting introduced with how a computer works. I am super excited and eager to take part in the next session.

To generate children's interest on coding and programming, BdOSN jointly with ISOC is celebratiing CSE Week from December 1. 2017 to January 31st, 2018. This time, the Hour Of Code, one of the programs of the celebration is arranged in Dinajpur. 50 schildren from Birgonj Paradox Kindergarten attended the session.

The kids were very much enthusiatic about the event. The teachers also requested to arrange such programming session at the school.

12th January is one of the great days of CSE Week. On this day, 15 Hour of Code was conducted in 15 different districts. The arrangement had a different essence this time as these celebration held anywhere possible instead of just school or classroom. 

For example, open field, premises of Shaheed Minar, university campus, play ground etc were selected to organize these Hour of Code session around the country.

The little kids, young students and all participated at the session. They were very much cheerful participating at the session.
