On the occasion of ‘Luna Shamsuddoha Girls in ICT Week 2022’ Celebration, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) organized a Job Exposure Visit at the venue of ‘Women in Digital’ on 22nd April 2022.
কুমিল্লা জিলা স্কুল অডিটোরিয়ামে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো দিনব্যাপী রোবটিক্স, প্রোগ্রামিং ও বিজ্ঞান বিষয়ক কর্মশালা। কুমিল্লা জেলা শহরের স্কুলগুলো থেকে নির্বাচিত দুই শতাধিক শিক্ষার্থী এই কর্মশালায় অংশগ্রহণ করে। কর্মশালা পরিচালনা করেন বাংলাদেশ ওপেন সোর্স নেটওয়ার্ক (বিডিওএসএন) এর প্রশিক্ষকেরা।
Bangladesh Open Source Network has organized an HSA Talk on March 28, 2022, in zoom. In this talk, the key topic was the opportunities for the students in Cardiff, Wales. Sayed Md Sayem, a scholar from Cardiff University has joined the session as the resource person. He has guided the participant in every step of the admission process.
To make the students proficient in the programming field and to make them more interested in the field of Information Technology, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) organized a Grace Hopper Girls Programming Camp. It was a two-day-long camp and the event took place on the premises of City University, Panthopath on 28th and 30th of the month of March 2022. A total number of 35 students participated in this event.
In this era of the fourth industrial revolution, there is going to be a rapid change in technology and industries. Integration of technology has already started changing our lifestyles. One of the key components would be IoT for the automation of everything around us. To grow interest in this potential topic among the female students, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) has organized an ICT camp titled,“Deep Dive with IoT for Female Students”. The workshop took place on March 18, 2022, in NAF Tech, Mohakhali DOHS, Dhaka. A total number of 14 female students participated in the workshop.
প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্য ও গাইডলাইন, আর্থিক ও মানসিক সাপোর্ট এবং প্রোডাক্ট, মার্কেট ও আর্থিক ব্যবস্থাপনায় প্রশিক্ষণ নারী উদ্যোক্তাদের পরবর্তী ধাপে উত্তরণের সহায়ক। তাই এসব খাতে সংশ্লিষ্টদের এগিয়ে আসা প্রয়োজন। ঢাকা উত্তরের প্রয়াত মেয়র আনিসুল হকের নামে নারী উদ্যোক্তাদের একটি কোহর্টের উদ্বোধন অনুষ্ঠানে অতিথি ও অংশগ্রহণকারীগণ এই মত ব্যক্ত করেছেন। ১৮ মার্চ শুক্রবার ঢাকার ড্যাফোডিল এডুকেশন নেটওয়ার্ক বিল্ডিং এর ৭১ মিলনায়তনে এই কার্যক্রমের শুভ উদ্বোধন করেন আনিসুল হক ফাউন্ডেশনের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও এশিয়ান ইউনিভার্সিটি ফর উইমেনের উপাচার্য ড. রুবানা হক। আনিসুল হক ফাউন্ডেশন, বাংলাদেশ ওপেন সোর্স নেটওয়ার্ক (বিডিওএসএন) ও চাকরি খুঁজব না চাকরি দেব গ্রুপের যৌথ আয়োজনে ৭ মাস ব্যাপী এই কোহর্টে ৩৪ জন নারী উদ্যোক্তা অংশগ্রহণ করছে। সহযোগিতায় রয়েছে ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের আনিসুল হক স্টাডি সেন্টার, ইনোভেশন এন্ড অন্ট্রোপ্রেনিওরশিপ ডিপার্টমেন্ট এবং নাগরিক টিভি।
In supporting entrepreneurs for a few years, We have pinpoint three distinct root causes that pull back our entrepreneurs- An appropriate marketing & Finacial strategy, External investment and team management. In this backdrop Bangladesh Open Source Network and Chakri Khujbo na Chakri Debo platform, have done few activities to curtail these problems like- Bootcamp, marketing guild, growth hacking through email and online growth guild. This time we are initiating a pilot project in association with Annisul Huq Foundation for the female entrepreneurs named after the late Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation Annisul Haque.
Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) organized a workshop on Higher Study Abroad on 17th February 2022. The session included various topics such as the procedure of applications in a German university, the requirements to apply, academics, finance, scholarship, and many other topics which will help the dedicated students in both decision making and applying to the right universities according to their qualification.
