Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN), the official national organizer of the World Robot Olympiad Bangladesh (WROBd), is stepping up its efforts to expand and elevate robotics education across the country. Since securing official membership in 2020 and successfully organizing the national WRO competition for the first time in 2021, BdOSN has remained committed to developing a strong robotics culture among Bangladeshi youth.
The 2025 World Robot Olympiad will be held in Singapore. World Robot Olympiad (WRO) hosted an in-person Spring Meeting on 2 & 3 April in Singapore. National organizers from 20 countries participated in this meeting. The organization aims to achieve nationwide outreach within the next three years, increase the number of partner institutions, and ensure participation in all four WRO categories like RoboMission, Future Innovators, RoboSports, and Future Engineers, in the current competition cycle.
To align with global developments, Promi Nahid, Treasurer of BdOSN and key organizer of WROBd, represented Bangladesh at the WRO Spring Meeting held on April 2 and 3 in Singapore. The event brought together national organizers from over 20 countries and featured collaborative sessions on communications, strategic planning, and project updates. Hosted in the city that will welcome international finalists this November, the meeting underscored the importance of cross-country collaboration in shaping the future of educational robotics.
As Bangladesh continues to emerge as a key player in the global robotics arena, WROBd’s vision reflects a commitment not only to technological advancement but also to youth empowerment through STEM education.
