Mobile Application Development Camp for Girls

Aiming to empower female mobile application developer, Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and the only national AppStore of Bangladesh- bdapps jointly organize two online ICT camps for girls who want to embrace their skillset on mobile application development on 18th & 19th April 2021.

Each camp was designed to enlighten our female students with the necessary skillset in android application development. The duration of the camps are one and half hour. This entire camp was designed by BDApps, in which the overall content focus on how to start working with bdapps platform, app digitization, app promotional ideas, APIs, implementation of APIs in app development and so on.

The very first camp was held on 18th April. Md. Altamis Nabil, Biz-Engagement conducted the session. The main objective of this event was to raise interest in app development among our girls so that they could think more of taking app development as a career path. A total of 155 girls from different corners of Bangladesh are connecting virtually to this camp.

On 19th April, another camp was taken by Arif Haider, Developers tech support, bdapps. This camp provided participants with technical training on the concepts and methodologies needed to develop applications for mobile. Instruction is aided with live projects which will allow students to grasp concepts of the complete mobile application development life-cycle in this camp. 67 girls took part to the camp.

These two camps were organized under three years ESDG4BD project of BdOSN.
