IRO Bangladesh Open 2025 Hands-On Workshop on Mini Rover Building Held in Dhanmondi

IRO Bangladesh Open 2025 Hands-On Workshop on Mini Rover Building Held in Dhanmondi

Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and Bangladesh Robot Olympiad (BdRO) jointly organized a day-long hands-on robotics workshop focused on building Mini Rovers.
The workshop was designed to prepare for the upcoming IRO Bangladesh Open 2025, a national robotics competition inviting students from Class 1 to Class 12 to develop robots under this year’s main theme: Space Robot.

During the session, participating students were divided into four enthusiastic teams and guided step-by-step to build their own Mini Rovers using ESP32 microcontrollers. The activity provided them with a practical foundation in robotics, from assembling components to understanding how a space rover operates in challenging environments. This highly engaging and hands-on event sparked excitement and curiosity among young participants, offering a glimpse into the world of space robotics. Organizers also announced that more such robotics workshops will be held soon to support and inspire students across the country.

The workshop also served as a platform for students to collaborate, share ideas, and apply their creativity in real-world problem-solving scenarios. Mentors from BdOSN and BdRO closely monitored each team's progress, ensuring an enriching learning experience. Parents and teachers attending the event praised the initiative, emphasizing the importance of early STEM education. With growing interest and enthusiasm, the organizers hope to empower the next generation of innovators and problem solvers through continued outreach and engagement.
