BdOSN will celebrate the Computer Science Education Week from 7-15th December 2015. A nationwide actvities were planned to mark this wee which includes but not limited to Hour of Code, Online Programming Contest, National Girls Programming contest etc. The preparatory activities will beging with a "Programming Adda" to be held in Biswa Sahitya Kendra on 21st November at 4pm.
To create awareness for computer education, the celebration will be co-organized by Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) and supported by Daffodil International University, CodeMarshal, Internet Society of Bangladesh, Google Developers Group Bangla, Google Women Techmakers, Dimik cmputing school and KishoAlo. The activities are :
Hour of Code in different locations : One hour hands on programming learning session will be held in 50 locations of the country. Mostly high school students will be covered. However, there will be some "open for all" session as well.
Largest online programming contest of the country will be held on 11th December 2015, friday from 3-8 pm. The contest will be open for all in two categories - highschool and rest. All participants will get an digital certificate from the organizer. Top 100 programmer will receive prize. The registration will be open from 25th November at codemarshal platform.
The National Girls Programming Contest will took place on 12th December, Saturday at Daffodil International University, Sukrabad Campus. The onsite contest will have two categories - high school and university. The high school girls could form there team 2/3 members from one or several institution. However, the team representing the universities will have to have 3 members from the same univeristy. The registration fees for the NGPC will be 500 and 1000 taka for the high school and univesityteam respectfully. The contest platform will be CodeMarshal and the participants should use C/C++.
The CS Education week closing activities will be held on 15th December 2015.
Besides the week activities, there will be Programming Adda, worshops and seminars be organized during 20th November 2015 to 15th December 2015.
