Greater emphasis will be placed on STEM education in the upcoming national curriculum to better prepare students for future challenges, particularly in fields like robotics and programming. This observation came from the keynote speakers and guests at the Experience Sharing Meeting on the STEM and ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Areas Project, held in Dhaka on September 13, 2025. The event was jointly organized by the Bangladesh Freedom Foundation and Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN), with support from the Malala Fund.

At the prestigious World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Asia-Pacific Open Championship, held in Manila, Philippines, Bangladeshi students achieved a historic success by securing second place in the Future Engineers category along with two special awards. This remarkable achievement not only brought honor to the participants but also sparked immense pride across the country, proving that the dreams of Bangladesh’s youth can truly reach beyond borders.
A training workshop on scratch programming was held with the participation of a total of 226 teachers of Sadar Upazila at Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Parishad Auditorium in two phases. One ICT teacher each from 113 government primary schools participated in each phase of the workshop held on July 5-6 in the first phase and July 12-13 in the second phase.
