The Bangladesh national selection round of the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (IAIO) 2026 was held on Saturday (11 October 2025) at the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), University of Dhaka. Organized by the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN), the competition brought together talented students from across the country to participate in a five-hour Kaggle-based challenge focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision.
Many enthusiasts gathered at the Bissho Shahitto Kendro on October 13, 2025. Twelve primary school students from Bangladesh participated in the International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO), held from October 5 to 9 in Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia.
Bangladesh made a remarkable debut at the International Mathematics and Science Olympiad for Primary Students (IMSO) in Malaysia, where its primary school students earned two silver and ten bronze medals.
