The future of technology came alive today as the grand National Round of the 3rd Bangladesh AI Olympiad (BdAIO 2026) concluded with high-octane energy at the campus of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT).
Hundreds of brilliant young minds from Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur, and distant corners of the country converged at the venue to test their mettle in a series of mind-bending challenges revolving around machine learning, neural networking , programming, mathematical logic, and artificial intelligence.
The event kicked off bright and early with students split into two highly competitive tracks: the AI Quiz and the AI Coding Challenge. The coding arena saw an intense four hour sprint where participants battled complex algorithmic problems, while the quiz track tested the quick-witted intelligence and theoretical depth of the tech enthusiasts.
Beyond the adrenaline of the competitive tracks, the day featured immersive futuristic sessions. Saiful Islam, an AI Engineer from Jadu PC, spearheaded an interactive session detailing how low-cost computing can unlock massive tech opportunities. Following this, Munir Hasan, President of the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and founding member of MillionX Bangladesh, delivered an inspiring keynote on cultivating a "10X Mindset." He challenged the young crowd to multiply their thinking capacity tenfold to not only participate in but actively lead the global AI revolution.
Adding a burst of rhythm and celebration to the high-stakes day, the BUBT Cultural Club took the stage for a vibrant performance right before the highly anticipated Q&A session.
The Q&A session commenced at 12:30 PM. The session was attended by Asif Iqbal, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering at Chittagong Independent University (CIU); Rakibul Hasan, Chief Technical Officer of Link3 Technologies; Shaiful Islam, Founder and CEO of AIQNIC; Mamunur Rauf, Head of Growth at REVE Chat; and Motasim Billah Mridul, Tech Lead at ConneqtedAgents.
