Seminar Sparks New Energy in Young Minds Preparing for IRO Bangladesh Open 2025

A spirited and inspiring seminar titled “Preparation Boost: Road to IRO Bangladesh Open 2025” was held on 6 July at the BdOSN office in Dhanmondi. Jointly hosted by the Bangladesh Robot Olympiad (BdRO) and BdOSN, the event welcomed 24 students from across the country who are actively preparing to compete in this year’s Bangladesh round.

The seminar served as an important milestone in the lead-up to the IRO Bangladesh Open 2025, providing participants with practical guidance, expert advice, and motivational stories. What made the event particularly special was the presence of eight former members of the Bangladesh team that participated in the 26th International Robot Olympiad. These medal-winning participants—who brought home gold, silver, and bronze—shared their experiences, discussing the obstacles they faced and the problem-solving techniques they used during their own journeys.
Throughout the session, students were given a closer look into three major segments of the competition: Creative Category, Creative Movie, and Physical Computing. With the main theme of “Space Robot” set for this year’s Olympiad, the discussion focused on the technical and creative challenges involved in developing robotic solutions for outer space missions. Small group dialogues and interactive Q&A sessions allowed students to reflect on their project ideas and learn how to align them with the competition’s theme and expectations.
As the national phase approaches, scheduled for September with registration opening in August, this seminar offered timely support and encouragement. It also reflected BdRO and BdOSN’s ongoing commitment to helping young students across the country enhance their understanding of robotics through quality mentorship and learning experiences.
Looking ahead, both organizations plan to organize more seminars, workshops, and lectures, in both online and offline formats, to continue guiding students on their path toward the IRO Bangladesh Open 2025.
This seminar was a glimpse into the possibilities that await when curiosity, collaboration, and guidance come together.
