Closing Ceremony of the CSE Week 2017

The closing ceremony of the CSE Week 2017 held on 7th February, 2018 at Bishwo Shahitto Kendro. After the last two-month long events, celebration, sessions, workshops and many, the session has been called to a successful ending at the auditorium of the venue.

Every year, along with other campaigns and programs, we celebrate Computer Science Week (CSE Week) in Bangladesh to promote programming among the children and young generation.  Though it is supposed to be celebrated in December 8-14, but we celebrate this program for 2 months every year.

This year we have celebrated CSE Week from December 01, 2017 to January 31st, 2018. Throughout these months, we have conducted Hour of Code, girls’ programming adda, Grace Hopper Girls Programming Camp, Hello World Programming Camp, mentors training camp, organized a round table discussion and jointly celebrated National ICT Day Programming Contest and so on.

In the celebration of CSE Week 2017, we have directly reach to 13000+ people where by social media we have reached more than 35000 people.

The honorable State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Mr. Zunaid Ahmed  Palak, MP, graced the  session as Chief Guest. Sheikh Abdul Aziz, Chairman of LeadSoft Corporation Limited, Mohammad Awlad Hossain, Assistant Vice President of Surecash, General Secretary of ISOC, Bangladesh Chapter Mohammad Kawsar Uddin, Lecturer of CSE Department, North South University Tamanna Motahar were present at the event.

The honorable State Minister emphasized on learning programming from early age to contribute in Digital Bangladesh. He urged to increase the participation of the children in the programming and shared more Sheikh Rassel Computer Lab will be established.  Mentors, participants, guardians and ICT enthusiast young souls were present also at the closing ceremony.

Certificates were distributed to the participants of Children’s Scratch Programming held at Daffodil International University on February  2, 2018. Participants and guardians elicited their comments and suggestions through the closing ceremony.

Shakhawat Hossain, a student of Singra Damdama Pilot High School shared his experience about participating the programming camp and forming a programming club in his school.

The Program Officer of BdOSN Sharmin Kabir facilitated the celebration.
