BdOSN partnering with ICTD for High School Programming Contest

Bangladesh Open Source network (BdOSN) recently became a partner of the ICT Division under Post, Telecom and IT Minitry of the Government of Bangladesh to help them to arrange first ever National High School Programming Contest (NHSPC). The initiative by ICT Division and supported by the telecom operator, Robi aims to create awareness among the high school students towrads computer programming. For this a nationwide campaign will be launched on 29th April will which cover all 64 district. The regional competion, will be held in 7 Division and Dhaka city, will be held from 8th to 23rd May. In each of the regional competitions students will particpate in onsite programming contest and a ICT quiz contest. The winners of the regional fest will move to National Competition to be held in BUET on 29th May, 2015.

BdOSN is entrusted with the responsibilities to arrange the competietion, workshops and other activities through the partnership of 9 Public universities mainly DU, CU, RU, KUET, BSMSTU, BU, SUST, BRUR and BUET. Besides, BdOSN will also help the students to prepare for the show with trial online contest, workshops and online forum. They also take the responsibilities of creating awareness through various Social Media Platform.

Mr Kabbo Ahmed and Mr Baizid Bhuiyan Jewel are leading a team of 20 BdOSN volunteers in these activities.
