On 11 June, 2015, Take Back the Tech Bangladesh team visited Adamjee Cantontment College, Dhaka for a campus awareness on combating violence against women by using information and communication technology (ICT). This was the largest gathering in any TBTT programme in Bangladesh. Around 500 students participated in this event. Teachers of Adamjee Cantontment College were also present. The programme was organized by ACC ICT Club and supported by Bytes for all Bangladesh and Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN).
Workshop on "Introduction to algorithms and how to apply them in computer programming" held successfully in the Charle Babage lab of Daffodil International University (DIU) on 5-6 June 2015. BdOSN in collaboration with Code it, Girl organized the workshop for the girls. DIU hosted the workshop. 18 female students from Dhaka University, BUET, North South University, Jahangirnagar University, National University etc joined the workshop. Bristy Sikder, a student of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) conducted the workshop while Mirfat Sharmin and All Rabbi of BdOSN facilitated the same. The workshop covered the basic algorithm required for computer programming. Students learned the basics and application of Ad-Hoc Problems, greedy algorithms, Divide and Conquer: Merge Sort, Graphs, BFS, DFS, Jug Problem, etc.
Bangladesh Open Source network (BdOSN) recently became a partner of the ICT Division under Post, Telecom and IT Minitry of the Government of Bangladesh to help them to arrange first ever National High School Programming Contest (NHSPC). The initiative by ICT Division and supported by the telecom operator, Robi aims to create awareness among the high school students towrads computer programming. For this a nationwide campaign will be launched on 29th April will which cover all 64 district. The regional competion, will be held in 7 Division and Dhaka city, will be held from 8th to 23rd May.
Any people could be a leader if he or she tried some rules and make his/herself a risk taker. The opinion has been emerged in a training workshop title “Dream Big - Personal Leadership for Young Entrepreneurs!” on 24th April 2015. The workshop was organized by "Chakri Khujbo Na Chakri Debo", the entrepreneurship platform of BdOSN. Mr Javed Pervez, Vice President of Robi Ajizta limited conducted the workshop attend by more than 30 entrepreneurs and would be entrepreneurs. After presenting his thought and ideas Mr Javed responses the questions from the audiences.
