'Luna Shamshuddoha Girls in ICT Day Celebration' was held on May 23, 2024, at Naihati Secondary Girls School Rupsha, Khulna, as a part of the SISGCA project. 

Luna Shamshuddoha Girls in ICT Day Celebration serves as a platform for female students, industry experts, and entrepreneurs to come together, network, learn, and build a supportive community within their respective horizons. The series of activities planned for this celebration are specifically designed to highlight the research and career interests of women in computing and related subjects. The Luna Shamshuddoha Girls in ICT Day Celebration aims to create a positive impact on the lives of women in Bangladesh by providing them with opportunities to showcase their talents, develop essential skills, and explore diverse career paths in the ICT sector.

Through this celebration, we strive to enhance the representation of women in the field and create a more inclusive and diverse landscape for ICT professionals in our country. By promoting gender equality and empowering girls and women in ICT, we aim to contribute to the betterment of society as a whole. The Luna Shamshuddoha Girls in ICT Day Celebration is a significant step toward building a brighter and more inclusive future for the women of Bangladesh, where their potential and contributions in the ICT sector are recognized and valued.

During this session, about 75 female students attend and share a few thoughts about their experience and how they look forward to taking part in the ICT world. They were very excited to learn about the contribution women have made to the tech world. A few students shared their experiences during that session. Nishst Tamanna Jui shared, “Thank you, Malala Fund, for giving them the opportunity. This event inspires me, and I will look forward to this kind of event.”
