In a remarkable event on September 9, 2023, the National Round of the Bangladesh Junior Science Olympiad (BdJSO) occurred at the National Science Complex Building in Dhaka. This event showcased young talent and was a testament to the power of education and opportunity.
On 27 September 2023, Mathematics and Programming sessions were conducted at Perikhali Model Secondary School, Rampal, Bagerhat, under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN. 51 Students include 36 females and 15 Male students from classes 6 to 8 participated actively in these sessions.
On 26 September 2023, Mathematics and Programming sessions were conducted at Bara Katali Secondary School, Rampal, Bagerhat, under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN. 48 Students including 33 females and 15 Male students from classes 6 to 8 participated actively in these sessions.
On 25th September 2023, Mathematics and Programming sessions were conducted at Naihati Secondary Girls School, Rupsha, Khulna, under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN. 42 female students from classes 6 to 8 participated actively in these sessions.
On 25th September 2023, Mathematics-4 sessions were conducted at Naihati Secondary Girls School, Rupsha, Khulna, under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN. 42 female students from classes 6 to 8 participated actively in these sessions.
On 24th September 2023, Mathematics and Programming sessions were conducted at Shaheed Kamel Model High School, Tala, Satkhira, under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN. 40 female students from classes 6 to 8 participated actively in these sessions.
On 24th September 2023, Mathematics and Programming sessions were conducted at Shaheed Kamel Model High School, Tala, Satkhira, under the STEM & ICT Skills for the Girls of Coastal Area (SISGCA) project funded by Malala Fund in association with BdOSN. 39 students (19 Female and 20 Male) from classes 6 to 8 participated actively in these sessions.
Under the project "STEM & ICT Skills for Girls of Coastal Areas [SISGCA]", Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOSN) has built a portable STEM lab aiming to support our underprivileged girl students in developing information technology-based skills.
An inspiring Meet the Role Model session titled "From Shore to Success: Empowering Coastal Area Girls in Tech" motivated girls from Shaheed Ali Ahmed Govt. Girls High School in Tala, Satkhira, to pursue their aspirations via education and technology. The seminar, conducted on September 7, 2023, aims to inspire and assist these young minds to reach their potential and make significant contributions to society.
