A meeting of the organizing committee held on 16th November 2011 at BdOSN Office Dhaka. The meeting was presided over by the congress2011 convenor Mr Nahidul Islam Rumel and attended by among others Mr Nurunnabi Hasive,Baized Bhuiyan Jewel Besides, Mr Munir Hasan, General Secretary, BdOSN was also present. The meeting reviewd the participant list and approved the first list of aprticipants. The detailed congress schedule has also been reviewed. The convenor informed that the Divisional Commissioner of Khulna Division has kindly gave his consent to inaugurate the congress on 7th December.

As a branch of BdOSN Rangpur OSN will promote Open Source and Open Content philosophy in all applicable fields for the social and economic development. It will also work to popularize Open Source Software (OSS) in particular.
Bangladesh Open Source Network(BdOSN) organized a career talk based on Mobile computing in 18 th August at Frepd Auditorium Dhaka.Engineer Golam Muktadir, engineer izanur Rahman, Engineer Mamun and Cha Sin Pru was the main conductor of the talk.Mobile computing, making mobile game and mobile application are the key issue of the talk. Engineer Mizanur Rahman focaced mainly two topics on his speech. One is the problem of educational system and another is the importance of software engineering.He said the in making a software coading complete 20 % the next 80 % work is for software engineering.But in Bagladesh we dont care of this as a result we can not produce good software.The speakers advised the student to learn through joy. They sujest to emphasis on new and innovative idea and dedication. Bdosn hoped that this type of talk will continue ones in every month.
