Workshop on Open Source Accounting Software for Small Entrepreneurs

A workshop was held to train small and medium entrepreneur in accounting software last Saturday in BdOSN office. Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of M.F. INFOTECH Mr. Fahim Islam discussed the features ofopen source accounting software ‘GNU cash software’. It was arranged by the joint ventures of BdOSN Facebook based group ÔPvKwiLyR‡ev bv PvKwi †`‡evÕ(www.facebook.com/groups/uddokta) and open source software provider M.F. INFOTECH. In the workshop, along with

descriptive discussion on the topic, functional strategy was also taught. Accounting officers from various companies and new entrepreneurs also took part in this workshop. After the ending of workshop,at the closing ceremony general secretary of BdOSN Mr. MunirHasanhas said, ‘Using the open source software is really easy and helpful.To show the easy use of open source software to interested people is the inspiration for this arrangement.’ The Chief Executive of M.F.InfoTech Mr. Aminul Islam , the administrator of the group ÔPvKwiLyR‡ev ,bv PvKwi †`‡evÕSajjatHussain ,Bangladesh Math Olympiad coordinator BayejidBhuiya Jewel , treasurer of BdOSNNur-un-NabiChoudhuryHasib, ceremony coordinator PromiNahid, Outbound Dhaka coordinator ParthaSarathikarand many other people attended the workshop. In future, more workshops are expected to take place.
